Bath Beach House is a fantastic place to spend an adventurous day on the East Coast of Barbados. You won’t be disappointed, spending a day at an attraction that’s not overcrowded, offers excellent service and have great guides.

Beach House Vibes.
The approach to Bath St.John is scenic. So too is the rest of the entire East Coast of Barbados.
As you walk up to the Beach house, you finally get a view of the ocean. The Beach House seems so resolute, standing guard in front of what appears to be a rugged army of waves, reefs, surrounding hills and slowly defeated rock formations over time.
On the other hand, the Beach house and its surrounding areas are well maintained. There is a well-kept lawn where you will find lounging chairs for use by guests and also a swing ready for your Instagram pics.

Similarly, there is a lunch area with tables and umbrellas, where you can also keep your personal belongings. Finally, there are bathroom facilities where you can change for each activity.
The original Bath Beach House.
Bath Beach House’s original purpose was to offer tourists to Barbados an authentic Beach House experience along the rugged east coast of Barbados.
In addition to entertaining visitors, they are very popular with locals seeking a beach house located on the east coast for casuals such as birthday parties and family reunions.
Where Is Bath Beach House located?
The east coast of Barbados is not the most popular tourist spot on the Island, yet, it does offer a few pleasing attractions on this side of the country.
Bath Beach House is on Bath Beach Road, St John, Barbados. The Beach House is a secluded getaway between Bath Beach and Consett Bay.
How to get to The Bath Beach House?
Because of Bath Beach House’s location, the best way of getting there would be to:
- Take a taxi
- Hire a car and drive.
- Make arrangements with your hotel to get you there.
Additional directions.Come down Bath Hill until you get to the Beach houses junction, turn right, and Bath Beach House is the 5th and last house along the Beach.
What to do at Bath Beach house?
I like kayaking. The first time I went kayaking was in Cayo Coco, Cuba. It was an experience I’ll never forget. So much so, Any chance I get to go kayaking, I will take it.
Kayaking starts closest to the low tide. Therefore, if the low tide is before lunch, then kayaking will be first. And vice-versa, if it is after lunch.
Before hitting the water, you grab a life jacket and listen to a short safety briefing, and you are good to go.

The wind blows towards the Beach. Therefore, you have to be more worried about being washed ashore than being carried out to sea.
Additionally, the water is very shallow, with a maximum depth of 4ft, so if you manage to somehow turnover your kayak. Just stand up. You’ll be fine.
Speaking of standing up, you should wear beach shoes while kayaking at Bath Beach House. You don’t want to be barefoot if you need to stand on the reef.
Other than that, sit back, relax and paddle. Not really don’t relax too much because the kayaks are two-person kayaks. Therefore, you have to put in some effort.
Hiking From Bath Beach House To Consett Bay
The hike starts from The Bath Beach House and heads to the Consett Bay fishing Complex Jetty. It isn’t a stressful hike, but the oxygen gets thin while passing through the overgrowth.

There are some moderate inclines. However, a rope is in place for easier manoeuvring.
When you get to the Consett Bay fishing complex jetty, you can rest and take some pics before making the return hike.
Likewise, the return hike from Consett Bay is along the same Trail. You can take your time and complete it. There is absolutely no rush.

Finally, the Trail is for all ages and fitness levels. Nonetheless, if you run into problems, you can always seek a Tour Guide for Help.
Having Lunch at Bath Beach House Barbados.
Lunch is part of the Adventure day Pass package that I bought.
The menu consisted of macaroni pie, field peas and rice, baked chicken, fried fish, and salad. Also, you get a complimentary juice, but I opted to buy a couple of ice-cold beers instead.

In the end, it was a typical tasty Barbadian lunch which was enjoyable.
No complaints from me whatsoever.
Who should go to The Bath Beach House?
Everyone is welcome at Bath Beach House. If you aren’t interested in kayaking or hiking, don’t worry about it. That is why the lounge chairs are there☺. No day pass is necessary.

Therefore, you can swing by and have lunch or drinks. It is up to you.
What to pack when going to Bath Beach House?
- Sunblock. No matter what skin colour or tone you are, if you stay in the sun too long without protection, it will mess you up, and that’s my polite version of saying so- If you know what I mean. I usually pick up a pouch of Neutrogena Hydro Boost and keep it in my backpack.
- Polarized Sunglasses. Just like your skin, your eyes need protection from the sun. Protect yourself at all costs. It won’t stop you from having fun in the sun. Oakley’s men’s Holbrook square sunglasses are my style. What’s yours?
- Insect Repellant. Sandflies and mosquitos are always around the corner, especially when wearing shorts. Get ahead of the bites by putting on insect repellant around grassy areas or dusk and dawn. Off! Insect repellant is a well-known brand here in Barbados, and you can pick it up anywhere.
- Water Shoes. The safest bet is to wear footwear while on the reef. I saw two girls press the eject button on their kayak ☺ and ended up upside down in the water. You don’t want to be barefoot standing on the reef. Beach shoes will offer proper protection.
- Hiking Shoes. Some people say you need them, while some will say you don’t. I didn’t wear my hiking shoes on this trip. However, that almost turned into a tragedy. You see, I almost twisted my ankles on my way back to the Beach House, which was easily avoidable, had I worn the correct shoes in the first place.
- Beach Shorts. Once you are around the water, you should be wearing beach shorts. They are designed to dry fast and are light enough not to slow you down in the water.
