Hi families, my name is Rondale Lucas, also known as ”The Overseassian.”
I am a photographer, travel blogger, and content creator from the Island of Barbados.
Ever since I first started travelling, I have gained a greater appreciation for people, places and culture. And I have never wanted to stop travelling since then.
I have travelled to The Gambia, Guernsey in The Channel Islands, England, Canada, Isla Margarita, Venezuela, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and I also lived in Cuba for five years.
The first time I flew, I was 18 years old. I visited Banjul, The Gambia, for a cultural exchange with nine other students my age.
It was then that my eyes opened up to the world after meeting ten students from each Caribbean country there.
How did I get the name, ”The Overseassian”?
I have a friend to thank for that name. Here in the Caribbean, when you travel abroad or live abroad. People like to say that you are overseas or that you live overseas. Therefore, because I travelled often, I was given that nickname. ”The Overseassian”.
What is ” The Overseassian”?
The Overseassian is a travel blog. However, in the future, you will also see that brand on YouTube, Pinterest and across social media.
Barbados.
Barbados is a beautiful island paradise, and since I live where paradise resides. (lol, I always wanted to say that) That is where I’ll start.
Hence, my first few blog posts will be about Barbados.
I’ll guide you around the island, sharing insider information on the best beaches and activities to enjoy while you are here.
